---
Billing lives in workspace settings and is available to admins.

## During the trial

Every plan starts with a **14-day free trial** at the full feature set of the
tier you picked. No card is required to start.

> **Your data is not deleted when a trial ends**
>
> If you do not subscribe, the workspace locks rather than being wiped. Add a
> payment method and everything is there.

## Subscribing

**Open Settings → Subscription**

    Admin only.

**Pick your tier**

Compare in [Plans and limits](https://helpdesk.orangescrum.com/guide/cloud/plans/plans-and-limits). Choose
for what you need in the next quarter, not the next year — changing later is
    straightforward.

**Add payment details**

Card details are handled by the payment processor.

**Confirm**

Access continues without interruption from the trial.

## Upgrading

Upgrades take effect **immediately** — the new tier's features appear as soon as
the change is processed, and billing is prorated.

Upgrade when you hit one of these:

- **Basic → Pro**: You need sprints, custom fields, timesheets, or Git integration — or you have run out of the 10-project cap.

- **Pro → Premium**: You need resource management, advanced reports, SSO, audit trail, or API access.

## Downgrading

Downgrades take effect at the **end of the current billing period**, so you keep
what you paid for.

> **Check what you lose first**
>
> Downgrading removes access to that tier's features and applies its limits. If
> you have 40 projects and move to Basic — a 10-project tier — sort out which
> projects to archive **before** the change, not after.

Data is not deleted on downgrade; it becomes inaccessible until you upgrade
again. Export anything you need first — see
[Import and export](https://helpdesk.orangescrum.com/guide/cloud/tasks/import-and-export).

## Invoices

Invoices are in **Settings → Subscription → Billing history**, downloadable as
PDF. Update your billing address and tax details there too — they appear on
future invoices, not past ones.

## Payment problems

**Payment failed**

We retry a failed charge before suspending anything. Update the card in
Settings → Subscription. Suspension locks the workspace; it does not delete
    data.

**Need to change the card**

Add the new card and remove the old one in the same visit, so no charge
    falls between them.

**Need a VAT or GST number on the invoice**

Add it to your billing details. It appears on subsequent invoices; ask
support to reissue an existing one.

**Want annual billing or a PO**

Contact sales — annual terms and purchase-order billing are available for
    larger accounts.

## Cancelling

Cancel in Settings → Subscription. Access continues to the end of the paid
period.

**Export your data first**

Do this while you still have full access, not after cancellation.

**Tell your team**

Give people time to retrieve anything they need.

**Then cancel**

You keep access until the period ends.

## Need one feature from a higher tier?

Individual features can be enabled per company independently of the plan. If a
single capability is driving an upgrade, ask first — it may not be necessary.
