Messaging and Communication in CRM LEAF

What is Message?

The Messages module in CRM LEAF allows users to initiate and manage conversations with team members or clients directly from within the platform. It serves as a communication hub for quick updates, queries, and file sharing—streamlining internal and external collaboration.

Add New Conversation – Form Layout

To a Team Member

Field Description
Choose Member Select a team member to message (required).
Message Type the message content (required).
Add File
(Optional) Attach documents, images, or files to the message.

To a Client

Field Description
Client Name Search and select the client to message (required).
Message Enter your message to the client (required).
Add File (Optional) Upload files relevant to the client conversation.

Use the search field to quickly locate a contact by typing their name.

Quick Actions – Messages

Action How To
Start New Conversation Go to Messages > Add New Conversation and fill in the required fields.
Message a Team Member Choose a member, write your message, and click Send.
Message a Client Select a client, compose your message, and hit Send.
Attach Files Use the Add File option to include relevant attachments.
Search Contact Begin typing in the search bar to quickly locate team members or clients.

Q: Can I send messages to multiple people at once?
A: The current interface supports messaging one team member or one client at a time per conversation.
Q: What file types can be attached to messages?
A: Most common document, image, and PDF file types are supported.
Q: Can I view past conversations?
A: Yes, previously sent and received messages are stored and can be viewed in the Messages module.
Q: Is there a notification when a new message is received?
A: Yes, users receive in-app alerts or notifications based on their system preferences.
Q: Can clients reply to the messages?
A: Yes, if client messaging is enabled, clients can respond through the CRM’s client portal or messaging interface.
