# Why I am unable to start the task?

> It is because the Associated Parent Task isn’t closed. You can’t start a Parent Task unless you finish the Child Task NOTE: Child task is dependent upon the Parent Task. i:e if the Parent task is not completed yet, you can’t start the child task
