Task Management in CRMLEAF: Creating, Tracking, and Organizing Work Efficiently

In CRM Leaf, a Task represents an individual unit of work within a project. Tasks help organize, assign, and track progress on specific activities to ensure timely delivery. Each task can have a title, description, assignees, deadlines, priority levels, and other details that contribute to effective task management.

How to Add a Task

To add a new task:

  • Go to Work > Tasks and click Add Task.

Fill in the following sections:

  • Task Info
  • Title-Enter a clear and specific title for the task.
  • Task Category-Optional classification to group similar tasks.
  • Project-Select the project the task belongs to.
  • Start Date – Due Date-Set the start and end dates for the task.
  • Status-Select the current status of the task (e.g., To Do, In Progress, Completed).
  • Assigned To-Choose one or more team members responsible for completing the task.
  • Description-Provide detailed information or instructions about the task.

Other Details

  • Label-Use labels to tag and organise tasks by type, team, or priority.
  • Milestones-Link the task to a specific milestone if applicable.
  • Priority-Set the priority (Low, Medium, High, Urgent) to help team members manage workload.
  • Add File-Attach relevant documents or resources to the task.

My Task Section

Each user can view their assigned tasks under My Task, with detailed information such as:

  • Task (Short Code) – A unique identifier like `MRA-24`.
  • Project– The associated project.
  • Milestone Summary – Linked milestones (if any).
  • Assigned To – The team member responsible.
  • Priority– The urgency level of the task.
  • Description – Task details.
  • Files– Any uploaded documents.

Task Features Overview

  • Sub Task:Break down a task into smaller actionable steps for better clarity and tracking.
  • Comment:Team members can collaborate by adding comments for discussions or updates.
  • Time sheet:Log the time spent on the task to track effort and improve reporting.
  • Notes:Add private notes that are not visible to all users.
  • History:View the full audit trail of task changes, including updates, comments, and time logs.
  • Upload File:Attach files directly to the task for easy reference.
  • Export Task:Export task data into Excel for reporting or offline access.

Task Board

The Task Board offers a visual layout of tasks categorized by their status:

  • To Do– Tasks not started yet.
  • In Progress – Tasks currently being worked on.
  • Completed– Finished tasks.
  • Resubmitted – Tasks sent back for rework.
  • Waiting for Approval– Tasks pending review.

Note: Tasks in this column cannot be moved manually. To update their status, use the Tasks menu.

Calendar View

Tasks are also displayed in a calendar format for easy scheduling and planning.

Views available:

  • Month View– Full monthly overview of task schedules.
  • Week View – Tasks planned for the current week.
  • Day View– Focus on a specific day’s workload.
  • List View – Scroll able list of all tasks sorted by date.
