Workspace tour

Where everything lives — navigation, dashboards, search and the views you will use daily.

A quick orientation so the rest of these guides make sense.

#The sidebar

Your main navigation. What appears depends on your plan and your role — a feature not in your tier simply is not shown, which is why your sidebar may be shorter than a colleague's.

Missing something?

If a menu item you expect is absent, check your plan first, then your role. Admins can also enable or disable features per company.

#My Work

The page most people live in: everything assigned to you across every project, filterable by status, priority and due date.

Tip

Start here rather than on the dashboard. The dashboard tells you how things are going; My Work tells you what to do next.

#Projects

Each project opens to its own set of views:

📋Tasks

The list. Filter, sort, bulk-edit.

📊Board

Kanban columns by status.

📅Gantt

Timeline with dependencies and critical path.

🗓Calendar

Tasks by date.

🎯Milestones

Delivery points and what hangs off them.

📎Files

Everything attached to this project's tasks.

#The task detail

Where the actual work happens. One task carries its description, assignee, dates, estimate, subtasks, checklists, labels, comments, attachments, logged time and full activity history.

The activity trail is the part people underuse — it answers "why is this like this?" long after everyone has forgotten.

Global search spans projects, tasks and documents. Two habits make it far more useful:

  • Search by task reference (WR-142) when you know it — it goes straight there.
  • Save the filters you rebuild every morning rather than reconstructing them.

#Notifications

In-app and email. You are notified when you are assigned something, mentioned with @, or watching a task.

Tune these early

Default notification settings on a busy workspace produce enough email that people stop reading it — including the messages that mattered. Set your preferences in the first week.

#Real-time updates

Boards and task pages update live. If a colleague moves a card, you see it move without refreshing — which matters most during standups and planning sessions where several people are editing at once.

Roles and a sensible starting structure.
